I am presently a Distributor/Merchant of scratch cards, what are the benefits of using EZTop-Up?
-
For Distributors/Merchants, the benefits of EZTop-Up include:
- Order Simplicity. Distributors/Merchants pay one amount to establish credit and no longer have to buy or stock multiple denominations providing customers with top-up for any amount between $1.00 and $99.00.
- Reduced Losses. Scratch cards and e-PINs are inventory and inventory can be lost or stolen. EZTop-Up is 100% electronic and each transaction requires entry of an approved clerk PIN or ID.
- Increased Traffic & Commissions. Data from 36 countries shows that prepaid wireless customers buy top-up more frequently than other forms of recharge e.g. scratch cards. Every time they visit to buy top-up, the Distributors/Merchants have a chance to promote and sell another product - beer, milk, etc. Not only do customers buy more frequently, they spend more on top-up than on other forms of recharge. This means Distributors/Merchants can potentially earn more with top-up.
- Real-time Information. EZTop-Up offers a web portal which tracks all transactions in real-time. It also provides reports which give up-to-the-minute transaction information on all top-up.
-
For Distributors/Merchants, the benefits of EZTop-Up include:

As a Distributor/Merchant how can I provide EZTop-Up services to a customer?
-
With the introduction of EZTop-Up, BTC will support 3 methods of top-up. They include:
- POS Terminals. Standard analog point of sale (POS) terminals, wireless GPRS/CDMA and DSL & Dial-up IP based POS terminals. For additional information on how to manage a POS Terminal please click here.
- Web-based. (1) Web-based POS terminal; and (2) retail e-Commerce site. A web-based POS terminal may be used in a merchant location where counter space is minimal and you already have a PC with internet connectivity. Internet connectivity can be broadband (ADSL, DSL, cable, etc.) or standard dial-up. The web-based POS terminal interfaces with a standard POS terminal process flow. The retail e-Commerce application is used to allow a subscriber to top-up their mobile account via the internet utilizing cash, a bank account or credit card. For additional information on how to manage a Web-based Terminal please click here.
- Phone POS/Phone to Phone (P2P). BTC will support "handset top-up" via Phone POS/P2P. EZTop-Up transforms any standard SMS capable handset to operate in the same capacity as a POS terminal, i.e. available balance is established via a merchant account. This allows a merchant to sell funds from their merchant account via their registered cell phone to customers. For additional information on how to manage a Phone POS/P2P Terminal please click here.
